Parallel Worlds _ documentary feature _ 1995 _ 71'00"

After being several times to Korea between 1990 and 1994, I was fascinated by the strange and in the same time to me very familar culture of Korea and it's people. Also I was fscinated by the fact, that from my point of view there are so many discrepancies in Korean culture, that nevertheless seem to coexist happily. In this documentary I am portraiing different korean people and their routine of the day. There is no narration, I tried to create a flow of pictures, moods and situations through parallel-montage.

This was my final work for the MA at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.
