Pundang Loop _ video installation_ 1997

2 monitors are rotating, showing a picture of a pan through a in the beginning rural- and in the end urban- landscape. Because of the fact, that the speed of pan and rotation are synchronized and their direction is opposed to each other, the video-image seems to stand still in space.

The video pans without a cut from a small river in the woods through rural landscape and appartement-deserts to end in a underground parkinglot.

For this work I was inspired by the big appartement-desert-cities build near Seoul, which are surrounded by intact nature (at that time I lived in an appartement in one of those cities called Pundang).
